About Bainbridge Island

Bainbridge Parks

Bainbridge has more than 1,400 acres of parkland. That’s about an acre of
park for every 17 people living on the island. So, as you can imagine, we
have plenty of park space to share.

We have two state parks, both on the water. Fay Bainbridge State Park is on
the far northeast part of the island. Fort Ward State Park is toward the southern
tip. In between them, are a huge variety of parks, ranging from inland lakes to
dense forests.
